Consulting and Analyzing

We specialize in working with laboratories worldwide to identify biorisk management system optimizations and improvements. For example, we start with a laboratory customized work project, including but not limited to reviewing internal and external stakeholder interests, developing customized organizational policies and measurable objectives, optimizing documentation and control, reviewing risk mitigation measures, biorisk management culture and identifying continual improvement activities. We aim to future-proof your laboratory biorisk management system, build stakeholder confidence, and provide assurance. In addition, we work with laboratories worldwide in implementing a biorisk management system based on ISO 35001, following customized steps based on your existing biorisk management programs, policies and procedures and our gap analysis procedure.

For laboratories implementing a biorisk management system based on ISO 35001, we will work with your internal team(s) to perform a comprehensive audit to establish your readiness for potential 3rd party certification or self-declaration of conformity.

BRMI is a 3rd party certification body. BRMI will be accredited as a certifier once a national/international accreditation scheme is available. In the meantime, our 35001 certifications are non-accredited. Our services include a comprehensive ISO35001:2019 conformity assessment and certification [Stage 1 and Stage 2]. This service is unavailable for customers who have engaged us for assistance in the implementation.

We believe that only subject matter experts perform 3rd party ISO 35001:2019 conformity assessment and certifications with extensive experience in biorisk management and auditing.

We offer highly specialized certificate training courses (e.g., ISO 35001:2019 lead auditor) in person worldwide.
